Home Invasion

Another home invasion. These type of calls aren’t even exciting anymore. Most of the calls don’t even get reported by the victim. Its usually the neighbor that saw it go down. Bunch of guys with guns storm into a house full of drugs or money and steal the stash. This is the way it usually works….. A driver goes to the river with a stolen truck and picks up a ton of marijuana. The driver takes the load to a stash house where someone else is in charge of taking care of it until its ready to be moved up north. The driver then contacts someone and tells them the amount of marijuana and the location of the “Stash House”. They then do a dry run to see the stash house itself, the getaway routes and any problem areas they need to plan for. They then “Hit” the house wit the appropriate personnel. Some do security blocks down the road and some go in armed. They get the marijuana and then take it to their own stash house. The proceeds are then distrubited evenly among all that participated If one of these guys gets greedy, then he contacts someone else and informs them of the new stash house and the process continues. But wait, its not over, someone has to answer to the owner of the load, the Cartel. The Cartel then starts their investigation. They get thir “special investigators” to cross the border via the river. They then pick up everyone that had something to do with that particular load. The driver, the lookouts and the caretakers are all interogated by these special investigators. These investigators have it easier then us. The Cartel allows them to use techniques that are not allowed by our police investigators. They use fire, bats, pliers, bullets, etc. Most of these guys that are picked up for interrogation by the Cartel hardly call the police for help. If they snitch, the Cartel will be paying them another visit. Someone else usually calls the police after these guys are found dumped on the side of the road but they hardly cooperate with law enforcement. These guys knew the consequences of stealing a load from the Cartel. Sometimes I can’t figure out why we use up resources to catch the bad guys. Bad guys taking care of bad guys. So where’s the problem?

Hell Breaks loose 50 yards away.

It was a pretty quiet night. A little on the chilly side but bearable. Pretty quiet until the explosions and automatic gun fire from across the border. When ever hell breaks loose we always have people that flee into our side through the river. The Rio Grande River is about 50 yards wide. In some places, all they do is step on rocks and cross without getting wet. Most of the time they use inflated tire tubes. I really am not sure if the people crossing are innocent bystanders that are fleeing the violence or Cartel members being driven off by the Mexian Army. I can’t tell if the explosions are being caused by the Army or by the Cartels because they both have access to these kind of weapons. I hope the Cartels have a Policy Manual like us. Hopefully their policies prevent them from missing what they are shooting at as to prevent a stray bullet from crossing into our side. We were only able to find a handfull of people that night. They don’t look like Cartel members but after a Google search, i realize that there is no “Cartel Look”. It would be easy if they had shirts like some that I have seen in the past. The t-shirts read “CDG”, (Cartel Del Golfo). Gulf Cartel! Can u imagine that. They wear it because people fear them on their side of the border. If they cross the border with that shirt on, we will take it off and give them one that reads “DAM”, (Dumb Ass Mexican) because we don’t take their shit over here. We don’t run, we shoot!
